Moderate flood levels are expected to be exceeded at Lismore tonight and the possibility of a major flood peak exceeding 10 metres should not be ruled out with more very heavy rainfall predicted to fall over the area for the next 12 to 15 hours. At this stage, moderate flooding is also expected in the lower Richmond River Friday night/ Saturday morning.
